Liberty Lake Centennial Rotary Club Presents Liberty Lake Hometown Heroes Banner Program
The Program
The Liberty Lake Hometown Heroes Program is intended to honor the U.S. Military Veterans and Active Duty service members of the Liberty Lake community.
Participants in the program can display their patriotism by purchasing a banner to be displayed on Light standards along that honors a resident or their family member(s) who has served or is currently serving our Country in any branch of the U.S. Military.
The following will be included on the banner:
● A picture of the Veteran/Service Member
● Name
● Branch of the military served
● Era of Service
Banners will be displayed along Country Vista Drive west from Liberty Lake Rd.
Banners will be displayed from Memorial Day through Veteran’s Day each year.
Eligibility and Procedure
● The U.S. Military Veteran/Service Member being honored must be an honorably discharged Veteran or an honorably serving active duty service member, and be a resident of the City of
Liberty Lake or an immediate family member of a Liberty Lake area resident.
● A completed Application Form must be submitted, along with full payment.
● If you wish to enroll multiple Heroes, each banner will require a separate Application Form with payment to Liberty Lake Hometown Heroes and mailed to: Don Walker at 1113 N Tanglewood Lane, Liberty Lake, WA 99019
● A donation of $150 which includes the banner, installation materials and maintenance.
● Enrollment will be limited to a “first come first serve” basis. Banners are guaranteed to be displayed for at least two seasons.

Global War on Terror – 2001 to present
Persian Gulf War – 1991 to 2001
Cold War – 1945 to 1991
Vietnam – 1964 to 1975
Korean War – 1950 to 1953
WWII – 1941 to 1945
WWI – 1917 to 1918
Civil War – 1861 to 1865
Note: If your Hero does not fall within an Era of Service listed, feel free to indicate “Peace Time” or leave blank.

Program Management
● The banners will be displayed on Light standard along Country Vista Drive west of Liberty Lake Rd. (25 on each side)
● Banners will remain in place from Memorial Day through Veteran’s Day (actual dates will vary).
● Banners will be stored by the Liberty Lake Hometown Heroes Committee until they are installed the following year.
● Banners will be guaranteed two seasons and then will be returned to the purchaser upon completion of the second season.
● Payment will include costs for any maintenance and/or replacement of the banner or mounting hardware in the event that damage occurs.
● The applicant who purchased the banner may collect it at any time during the year, excluding during the display period.

Who we are:
The Liberty Lake Hometown Heroes Program has a Designated Fund Agreement with the Liberty Lake Rotary Foundation, a Washington nonprofit corporation.
The purpose of the Fund is to encourage, solicit, receive, and use charitable contributions and the income derived therefrom (even to the point of exhaustion of principal) for the following
purposes:
Purchasing and displaying American Flags and Hometown Hero Banners to honor current and former U.S. Military Service Men and Women from the Liberty Lake area; supporting Veteran Education programs including, without limitation, providing speakers and materials to local public schools in the Central Valley School District, supporting traveling educational programs such as the traveling Vietnam War Veterans Memorial; and supporting current and former U.S. Military Service Men and Women located in the Community.
The Liberty Lake Hometown Heroes Program is managed by the Liberty Lake Hometown Heroes Committee. A committee of the Liberty Lake Centennial Rotary.
The Liberty Lake Hometown Heroes Program was approved by the City of Liberty Lake but is not a program or activity of the City of Liberty Lake.
